Deputy Auditions

The auditions for Pineclan Deputy are officially open for members to apply to! If you read through all of the rules and requirements in the HR Guide then you already know this, but this is just a reminder: you must create your character, post them on the site as a Warrior/Walker, and wait for them to be accepted before you apply them to be Deputy.

Hello, I, Oliver, play Deceptionstar, who is the PineClan leader. Now, Deception is a large, imposing calico tom. He is impulsive and a chronic liar, yet he is extremely hardworking, loyal and dedicated to PineClan. He will do anything for the wellbeing of his clan - including putting another clan into the line of fire by lying his way out of situations. He is very emotionally stunted - and doesn't seem to know when he has obviously crossed a line with someone. His charm tends to get him out of most situations.

Possumstar ran the clan with more kindness and compassion. Deceptionstar doesn't do that. He is more of a hard-ass when it comes to running the clan, making sure they are well fed, well trained and ready for any threat - be it inside or outside the camp walls. He doesn't tolerate traitors and will most likely exile some cat if they are deemed a threat to him or the clan as a whole. 



Deceptionstar would be looking for these traits in a Deputy:

• A calm, levelheaded cat who can keep him calm in situations where it may get complicated (battles, wars, etc).
• Someone who is stricter, yet compassionate. He doesn't want a total hard-ass like him as deputy, that's his job!
• Cannot be related to Deceptionstar in any way. He doesn't want his family leading beside him.
• Cats who are timid or shy are unlikely to be chosen by him, unless they have proved themselves by being a strong, capable cat in Deception's eyes.

There are also some general rules and requirements that must be acknowledged and/or followed.

1. Your character must have mentored at least 1 Apprentice in their history.
2. The minimum age of cat that Deceptionstar would choose is 30 moons.
3. You cannot play a Medicine Cat or MCA in Pineclan.
4. You cannot play a Deputy in another clan.
5. You must be willing to do all of the duties required of a Deputy. (HR Guide)

✦ What is your character's view on outsiders, loners and kittypets?

sablefox has an aversion to outsiders; not only are they strangers to the clan, but they were not raised to uphold the values that all pineclan cats have. he harbors a deep aggression toward summitclan as they were responsible for his brother's death, and he is uncomfortable with but mostly indifferent to tideclan. loners and kittypets may as well be an entirely different species and are not to be trusted. to understand what it means to be pineclan, one must be borne of pineclan blood. there may be special cases such as abandoned kits etc, but his acceptance of said individuals would be incredibly rare.

✦ How would your character react to traitors or betrayals within the clan?

trust is a very delicate thing. especially in the wild where survival is hard fought for. the trust placed in each member of the clan is what holds its institution together, and without it, the whole of the clan may fail. this is why sablefox is passionate about the following of the warrior code and pineclan law. traitors are no better than outsiders, as they have disregarded the trust and companionship the clan has given them. he would not be lenient toward serious offenses.

✦ How does your character react to danger or stress?

sablefox is solution-oriented. he is not the type of cat to panic and lose his composure when things don't go his way. he actually thrives in stressful situations, as he can exercise his wit to find the best answer to the problem. he tends to take control and ensure others are focused so that they may proceed correctly. with others, he offers the best advice he can when they are in times of stress and share it with him. in the case of fight or flight, sablefox is most certainly fight. he prefers to tackle a situation head on.

✦ How would your character react to cross-clan relationships?

he has spent his life focused on his career, not allowing himself to be distracted by romance. he's found it rather easy to avoid it. because of this, he would find it hard to comprehend why a truly loyal pineclan warrior would step out on their clan and betray the warrior code simply for cuddles and sweet nothings. he sees it as a betrayal through and through. although he typically isn't the type to involve himself in others' business, he would feel extremely disappointed.
